Whether they're pint-sized or large, celebrity pets are photographed out on the town and living the good life.
The Obama family, which includes an oldest daughter allergic to many breeds, is trying to choose the perfect dog . While the First Family is on a quest for a new furry family member, take a look at the bond between other celebrities and their four-legged friends. In an industry that blurs the lines between a real friend and someone just looking for the spotlight, it’s no surprise so many celebrities stick close to their k9 pals. Jennifer Aniston & NormanThe former Friends star is currently starring in a dog-friendly movie, Marley & Me. But her love for dogs goes far beyond playing a dog owner opposite Owen Wilson. She is the owner of a terrier-corgi mix named Norman who is ever-present on movie sets, in magazines and on the beach with Aniston. She is also the proud owner of a white shepherd, Dolli. “I think Norman, having been on Oprah and being in Vogue magazine, I think I’m cutting him off,” Aniston jokes to Oprah Winfrey. Aniston has even gone so far as to tell British newspaper The Sun she thinks dogs are better than men. “Men come and go but there really is no relationship like the one you have with a dog.” She goes on to say that nothing can compare to their companionship and unconditional love. Matthew McConaughey & FoxyMatt McConaughey had the same four-legged friend with him for 12 years. Ms. Hud was a Labrador/chow mix that never left his side. The actor and the dog, whom McConaughey adopted at a shelter in Tucson, traveled the country and went on cross-country trips together. However, after more than a decade together, Ms. Hud developed cancer, got a leg amputated and eventually succumbed to the disease. McConaughey went on The Oprah Winfrey Show in early 2006 to talk about his new companion, a red healer named Foxy. Although he told Winfrey Foxy has a lot to live up to. “Ms. Hud, that’s a good woman there,” he stated. The actor and Foxy are regularly photographed jogging together and hanging out down by the beach in McConaughey’s vacation trailer. Other celebrities and their four-legged pals:
