Hulu Website Offers Free Streaming Video & Movie Clips

Hulu, founded in March, 2007 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California U.S., offers streaming video of movies, movie clips, and certain television show episodes. The "...shows originate from NBC, Fox, ABC and other networks and studios", states the Wikipedia Encyclopedia online. The video on demand site offers services in the U.S. only. The owners are:
- NBC Universal.
- Fox Entertainment Group.
- ABC, Inc.
- Providence Equity Partners.
- Hulu employees.
On April 30, 2009, Disney announced it was purchasing a 27% Hulu ownership. Hulu’s two CEOs are Eric Feng and Jason Kolar.
Hulu Movies & Free TV Show Viewing Requirements
The top of the Hulu home page provides a sampling of full length movies members can watch for free. Popular TV shows, selected by Hulu for certain episode seasons, can also be viewed at no charge.
In order for members to view Hulu TV episodes, movies, and movie clips computers require Flash Player 9.0 or higher, and enabled Javascript. Hulu provides a link for a current Flash Player free download. More than 238 free movie clips are available. Members can select from 47 full TV episodes. A sampling of poplar TV shows made available for viewing, in 2009, are:
- The Office.
- 30 Rock.
- FlashForward.
- Community.
- Grey’s Anatomy.
“Featured Content” Hulu clips, such as Family Guy and clips from the Comedy and other channels, can be viewed for no charge.
Hulu provides shows and programs from NBC, FOX, and ABC. The other shows, according to Wikipedia, are from these networks:

Watch Popular Free TV Shows
Special TV show viewing links provides Hulu members the opportunity to view the featured shows for free. In October, 2009, the featured show Lost provided members the opportunity to watch episodes 1-5. Members can rate the streaming videos from zero to five stars, as well as read and post reviews.
TV Guide Online Provides Hulu Listings
TV Guide’s “Burn Notice” web page provides Hulu free clip links titled, "Ask a Spy." Some of the subjects covered in these short clips are:

Hulu syndicates its hosting to other sites. These sites can embed movie clips on their websites. The Hulu site provides members a quick way to make decisions about their viewing preferences by watching the TV show and movie clips.
